Where do I rank on google?

For those who have wanted to know how to find your google rank this is the tool for you. The purpose of this tool is to easily find what page number your domain falls under in the google search engine. I wrote this tool in hopes that it would help some people easily determine what page they are ranked on. I assume you are either lazy like me and tired of clicking through pages of results or your page ranks way low and your curious to see what page your on.....this is also like me. As of right now it will only go 20 pages deep into the google results. There are just two easy steps to find what your google domain rank is.

Wednesday March 24th 2010 - Site is back online. A few new top level domains have been added. This tool will have its own dedicated site this summer with many more features and more search engines.

Wednesday February 17th 2010 - This tool is currently offline, but should be back up by the end of the week. But don't worry when it comes back it will be better :) Alot of the suggestions posted will be added or will soon be added if not this time. Also some bug fixes with the way the tool is determining your page number...remember this is just a helper tool and can not be 100% accurate based on google caches or if it pickup up ads in the search results...but I will try to verify that it is removing the ads from counting these as a search result. Please leave a comment if you have a specific feature or problem...be as descriptive as possible...include your domain and the keywords that you entered so the problem can be replicated. Also if you would like to be notified when the tool is back online please enter your email address below.

Friday September 4th 2009 - The site may or may not be working throughout the day...google is being mean and just returning the message "but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. "...well yea of course we are sending automated queries. The process of finding more proxy servers to use has begun...we should be back fully functional after the holiday.

Tuesday July 7th 2009 - The page is functioning again...google got tricky and changed the way results come back.

Monday May 18th 2009 - Added two new domains to search google on (the united kingdom and australia).

Step 1

Enter your domain name please leave off http:// and www for best results.

Step 2

Configure your keywords. In this section you will specify the keyword(s) that you think you should rank for. This is the same thing as one of your vistors typing in the google search box.

So what are your thoughts?

I am interested in hearing how you use this tool...do you like it? What would you like to see etc...

Apologies to ask, and this is a great tool

I have just done some testing, from behind different country proxies. The results for the tool do differ to that if it was behind certain coutry proxies. i.e. .com from uk (where I am) to using a us proxy apart from my sites that are no 1 in all countries, the others differ considerably.

Should be relatively easy to set up, or link into one of the free proxy sites.

Comment from ADMIN posted @ 2010-07-14 09:25:04@Candon,

I am in the process of determing how accurate the results are from other countries...no country specific proxies are used at the current time
Comment from alex posted @ 2010-07-14 00:33:24this tool is similar to www.google-your-rank.com
Comment from Candon posted @ 2010-07-13 23:35:12Hey

Like somebody else just mentioned - searching for ages for a tool like this.

Question, do you use country proxies for the search for say google uk to say that it is UK?

Thanks alot

Comment from ADMIN posted @ 2010-07-10 21:48:55@shaun,

that is an interesting point you bring up, but im not quite sure i understand (nor do i think it makes a difference) to the level of depth your talking about...if you want to search as if someone in the uk would...it uses http://www.google.co.uk/ instead of http://www.google.com i would like to further discuss your findings though and we can test it out because im not quite sure what the querystring value for gl really does?...please contact me via the contact link at the top of this page so we can discuss further :)
Comment from Shaun posted @ 2010-07-10 11:24:41Hi, I'm not sure this is working the way people think it should be. If I specify TLD .com(USA) you tell me my site is #9 however the query you are using is http://www.google.com/search?start=0&hl=en&q=my key word and you do not specify gl=XX so that we are actually seeing where our site is ranked from the viewpoint of people searching in specific countries e.g. US. Your query is using google.com data in my country e.g. UK
Comment from Cybamart posted @ 2010-07-09 17:37:03This is great, I have been searching for about half an hour until I found a tool that did what I wanted; type in keywords and your domain and see where you rank!

The only thing I would personally like to see added is the feature to opt for a longer search to see *exactly* what page you are on, even if that is not within the first 20 pages. I realise this would be too lengthy for every search but if it would be possible to incorporate this feature it would be great to give people the choice to run a much longer search to find out exact page numbers as I am yet to find a site doing this. Although 'til now I was yet to find a site offering this tool at all so thanks for all you do ;-)

Comment from Jeremy posted @ 2010-01-29 22:24:17I love it. Your tool is very useful, thanks for taking the time to do it.

As for things that I would appreciate to see:
> having the search result page remember the user input. (now it just clears it with a '\')
> having an option to search 20 pages or MORE...way more. (20x20=400 results..I want to see the first 1,000)

But even without any of these changes, I still really really really appreciate you creating this tool and letting us use it.
